Privacy policy
DashMaxx is made by Fxora LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the DashMaxx app and this website (dashmaxx.app) do with information. Some features described here, such as shared store wait times and cloud backup, may not be available yet, and are off until you turn them on.
On your phone
These things happen inside the app, on your phone:
- Reading the Dasher app. With your permission, DashMaxx uses an Android accessibility service to read text on the Dasher app's screens: offers, trip stages, pay amounts, and store names and addresses. It only reads the Dasher app. Customer names are not stored.
- Location. DashMaxx uses your phone's location to count the miles you drive while you dash.
- Screen pictures. If you tap the map arrow on an offer card, DashMaxx takes a picture of your screen to show a closer look at the delivery area. The picture is used in memory only and is never saved or sent anywhere.
- What is stored. Your dashes, trips, pay, miles, stores, wait times, referral list and settings are stored on your phone.
Optional features that use our server
Store wait times, diagnostic logs and cloud backup are opt-in: the app asks once, you can change your answer in Settings at any time, and turning sharing off deletes what was sent. If you do not turn them on, that information stays on your phone. The referral feature below sends the email you enter when you use it.
- Shared store wait times. We receive a random anonymous device ID (not linked to your name, email or phone number), the store (as a normalized street address), the 3-hour block of the day you arrived, how long you waited, and whether it was a shopping stop. Other drivers only ever see averages, and only once several different drivers have contributed. We never show an individual driver's visits.
- Diagnostic logs. So we can find and fix problems, the app sends log lines tied to your anonymous device ID. They can include text the app read from the Dasher app, such as store names, addresses, offer amounts and screen states, but never customer names. Logs are kept for 30 days.
- Cloud backup. A copy of your DashMaxx data, tied to your anonymous device ID, so you can restore it on a new phone. It is protected in transit by HTTPS. It is stored on our server, and we may be technically able to read it; we do not look at it except to run the service or if the law requires.
- Referrals. When you add another Dasher's email in the app, we store it and may send them an invitation to DashMaxx. Only add someone who is okay with hearing from us. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
This website
- The waitlist form collects your email and an optional name, so we can invite you and tell you about DashMaxx.
- The data deletion form collects your email and an optional note so we can handle your request.
- This website uses no cookies for visitors (only the owner's private admin page sets a sign-in cookie), no analytics and no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers.
- Our web server may keep standard request records (IP address, time, page and browser) for security and troubleshooting, for a limited time.
How we use information
To run DashMaxx, to work out store wait times, to send invitations and service emails, to prevent abuse, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers who help us run DashMaxx (such as hosting and email delivery) under agreements to protect it, when the law requires, or as part of a sale or transfer of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep information while your account exists. In the app you can delete your account, which removes the wait times you contributed and your backup. You can also ask us to delete your data and we will respond within 30 days. We keep daily copies of our database for about 14 days for recovery, and deleted information leaves those copies as they expire.
Security
Connections use HTTPS. Device tokens are stored only as hashes. Access to our server is limited. No system is perfectly secure, so please use the app with that in mind.
Your choices
- Turn off the accessibility service or location in your phone's settings at any time.
- Choose whether to share wait times or back up your data.
- Unsubscribe from any email with the link in it.
- Ask us to delete your data.
Children
DashMaxx is for adults who work as Dashers. It is not directed to children under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for the app, ask you again where required.
